Bitten Clausen was born in Haderslev, Denmark, on October 20, 1912; two years before the beginning of World War I.

Bitten Clausen had a tremendous impact on the local community surrounding Danfoss because her heart was with all of the families employed at Danfoss. At the same time, she played an active role with regard to all the old people’s homes in the area, among other things.

In the summer of 2012, Bitten Clausen opened ”Bitten’s garden” as part of Danfoss Universe, and in August she personally congratulated a member of the Danfoss Orchestra on his 50th anniversary.
